March 5. Day 5.

Got some much needed sleep for my sicky body. Woke up at 10:30 still with a groggy head. Drank "Breath Easy" Tea and ate an orange and banana.

Lunch was a picnic with the cousins. I brought trisquits, wheat thins, carrots and hummus to eat while everyone else had deli meat and cheese sandwhiches.

Dinner at Johnny Garlics.


Thought they’d have more garlicky options for this garlic lover. Nope, not really. Even though the sign said it was a pasta grill, there wasn't much pasta. More like a lot of meat and cheese and fried onions. I wonder where the name Johnny Garlic's came from. Since pretty much everything on the menu had cheese on it or was made with a chicken broth (or alligator meat), I ordered the house salad but still had to ask them to leave the cheese off. Apparently this restaurant is owned by Guy Fiere, who has a food show on TV where he goes to restaurants all over the country and eats their food or something? I don't really know much about it, but everyone else was excited.

Overall day five was not the greatest day in vegan dining, or in feeling very well for that matter. Goodnight and good day.
